Dr. Oldenburg graduated with honors from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem,
NC in 1989 and received his Medical Degree from the University of North Carolina
School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC in 1995. He completed his Internship at Beth
Israel Hospital in Boston, MA in 1996. Dr. Oldenburg completed his Residency in
Radiation Oncology at the Harvard Joint Center for Radiation Therapy in Boston, MA in 2000, where he was Chief Resident. He was a physician at the Beth Israel
Deaconess Medical Center and an instructor at Harvard Medical School from 2000 to
2002.
In 2002, Dr. Oldenburg joined NorthMain Radiation Oncology and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is involved in clinical trials through the university, as well as National Cancer Institute (NCI) funded study groups such as NSABP, CALGB and RTOG.He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology for Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Oldenburg’s areas of expertise include prostate cancer, head and neck cancers, gastrointestinal cancers and lung cancer. He has extensive experience with transrectal ultrasound-guided (TRUS) prostate implants as well as Intensity IMRT and
TomoTherapy®.
